Brewing guide

Instruction

1. Use 3 grams of tea per 250 ml of water.

2. Hot water temperature between 50-80 degrees Celsius depending on your preference. Colder temperature means a slightly longer brewing time, but the taste of the tea will differ. Feel free to experiment with different times and temperatures!

3. Soak the tea for 1-2 minutes. When the time is up, the tea leaves can be removed. We do not recommend soaking them while drinking as this will leave to a more bitter brew.

4. Ready to serve and enjoy.

1. Use 3 grams of tea per 200 ml of water.
2. Hot water temperature 50-80 degrees Celsius
3. Soak the tea for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add ice as you like.
5. Ready to serve with delicious snacks

Shop recommendations for Monsoon iced tea:
In our shops we will take tea that has been brewed hot, pour over ice in a shaker and shake away for about 30 seconds. You can add a little syrup if you feel like but it’s just as refreshing without. Pour and serve, preferably in wine glasses for a more sophisticated feeling!

Tea Origin

Fang

This is the first area we started to work with back in 2013 and where we have built very close relationships over the past decade. Together with the local Lahu community we have managed to make sure that forested areas stay protected while people earn more money from the tea picked and produced. The tea here is grown in a beautiful natural setting, without the use of pesticides, fertilisers or irrigation systems.

Our story in the area starts with Monsoon Tea founder Kenneth traveling the mountains in 2012 to search for tea, but finding long-lasting friendships. In the beginning we launched the Forest Friendly concept, working together to pick the tea in the forested mountains and then transporting it to the closest city and tea factory. In 2024 however we made it possible for tea machinery to be moved up the mountain so the tea could be produced as close to the source as possible, adding further value to the local community.
